Unresolved Resolutions

Me and my girls will be ringing in the New Year's. Maybe not quite as festive as this, but pretty close.

Major Events from 2011:
Taught Zumba in Malta / Ran a half-marathon / Saw A LOT of killer whales / Made new friends

Good year, good year.

And now for the 2012 Ridiculous Goals:

1.Help Jennifer birth her baby in the Sand Hollows Aquatic Center
2. Refuse to board the plane home from England and work at Boden. (British clothing store)
3. Run to SLC, run the SLC marathon, and then run home.
4. Get married.
5. Get on super-sonic-fast-track and graduate with my BA.
6. Save an orphanage.
7. Shave my cat and make a sweater from its hair.
8. Brainwash women everywhere through Pinterest.
9. Get a Lord Voldemort makeover.
10. Do everyone's family history clear back to Adam...or Noah.
11. Play Flight of the Bumblebee.
12. Watch Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds."

If only...

This year's plan:
Uno-Each month I'll be doing a daily something
Dos- I'll have 3 main goals to be accomplished
Run a marathon / Go on the England Study Abroad / ??

I need your help: What should my third goal be?

It Starts Tonight

Today is the day.
I am officially training for a marathon.
26.2

The chosen course:Salt Lake City
Well, it is the place.

So I'm thinking this will be mile 1:

Mile 10:

Mile 23:

Right now I'm questioning my sanity.
Crazy English major AND a marathon??

PS Happy Happy Happy Birthday to mi hermana, Janelle:
Isn't she gorgeous in her wedding pictures?
Rick is not quite as gorgeous, but he doesn't have a Jr. Miss background.

A Hairy Challenge

I have this habit. It is called I-can't-do-my-hair-the-same-way-twice-in-a-row. One of the reasons I have long hair is for that flexibility. I found a challenge to do thirty different hairstyles. With school starting and 7:45 classes I sadly could not do a full 30. Here's a good number of them though: (and each curly hairstyle is unique, I promise!)

My Head is Across the Seas

At 3:55 I rolled out of bed just in time to watch the ceremony.
I was like a little girl watching a princess movie with eyes glued to the TV and head dreaming of a life in a castle and marrying a guy with a British accent.
I guess watching Jane Austen films and Harry Potter will have to suffice.
My curtsy:
My scarf all cleverly tied up in a bow.
 My London t-shirt:
I love, love, love hats so I was going crazy at the royal ceremony which was filled with the pretty, the daring, and the umm...?

Let's not forget the main feature, Catherine's dress.
Gorgeous.

What's England without some Harry Potter reference?
I came across this trailer and was practically screaming:

I'm thinking I'm going to read and watch all the books and movies to lead up to the finale of all finales.
Can you believe that this is almost the end?
I challenge anyone else to join me.

Nothing I Love More Than a Project

And I would call this a project:

Ok, you know I am never this messy, but a combination of painting in the other room therefore everything from there gets moved into my room + moving home from college + holiday laziness = the mess you see above. So I cleared everything up (talk about boxing up my childhood)...

...and went on a painting spree. Roughly a mint green to a sky blue. Love it.

And then came all the decorating.

Love this print
 My library
 Princess Bed

I sent two bags full of clothes to the DI. I still have too many.

My gigantic list that goes to the back. And I did it all (:

Sigh of content.

Shabbat Shalom

Well goal-crazy, list-obsessive, push-myself me set up a little challenge. It is called 18 Days of Getting Stronger. Every day I will be focusing my scripture study around the 18 sections in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet below.

God loves you as He loves each and every one of His children. His desire, purpose, and glory is to have you return to Him pure and undefiled, having proven yourselves worthy of an eternity of joy in His presence.

Feel free to join me in this challenge.

Shabbat Shalom

So today I completed two of my four goals. The first was a documentary of my trip. If I ever get tech savy enough I'll try to make it available for anyone crazed enough to read it. I made a copy for my parents so I hope they'll enjoy.

My second achievement for today was to compile a list of life goals. (Only I would make a goal to make goals.) Since 15 is my favorite number, that is the amount of goals I will be focused on. Maybe if I get ambitious I'll put those on here too.

I love goals!! Especially when you get to check them off!

Have a happy week!

I know I will because tomorrow I'll be in Rexburg!!

4 Simple Goals....

The newest blog frenzy can be found here. Well I couldn't resist the challenge of more goals so I decided to join. Here are my 4 Simple Goals to be completed before 2011:
1. Document my trip to Israel and Egypt. This really needs to get done before I forget everything.

2. Get involved at BYU-I by either joining a club, association, etc.
BYU-I agrees.

3. Obtain a better natural posture fit for a grand piano...or tea with the queen.
4. Compile a list of life goals in a binder (funnily enough this list will be very similar to mine)
