The Gift of Awkward

I think I've said this on my blog before, but I am a fan of awkward.
That's probably why I have the friends I do...

So when I was invited to an Ugly Sweater Party I was enthralled and soon found myself at the DI with just the sweater that the party called for:

The awkward thing about this sweater is that it is actually just on the threshold of being hip and in. I received multiple sincere compliments on this beauty.
The only thing holding it back is its squareness in nature. And by squareness I mean someone telling me to cut out the front panel of it and making a pillow.
Maybe I will.

Awkwardness, what a gift.

Call It Fashion Blogging

I just call it taking pictures of myself.
The photo challenge cut into my outfit posting so here is a taste of my fashion from the last few weeks.

V-Days outfit complete with pink sparkly shoes that you really can't see

Fuzzy picture, but the bold colors are enough right?
My new favorite skirt from the DI

My new vintage bag also from the DI

If you look closely you can see my feather earring brought to you by me

Nothing to do with fashion, but a killer whale loofah is the best thing ever!

Nothing I Love More Than a Project

And I would call this a project:

Ok, you know I am never this messy, but a combination of painting in the other room therefore everything from there gets moved into my room + moving home from college + holiday laziness = the mess you see above. So I cleared everything up (talk about boxing up my childhood)...

...and went on a painting spree. Roughly a mint green to a sky blue. Love it.

And then came all the decorating.

Love this print
 My library
 Princess Bed

I sent two bags full of clothes to the DI. I still have too many.

My gigantic list that goes to the back. And I did it all (:

Sigh of content.

DI Dig

One of my guilty pleasures: going to the DI and getting sweet deals on dresses and books. The catch: "Do I really need it?" and trying not to breathe. So yesterday I went to "look for some costumes for the play" and came out with two new skirts. One is still waiting to be altered and I can possibly use it for the play and the other is a nice little flowy number. It will be perfect for summers, especially the next few when I can't wear shorts.
