Meet Jonathan

*Sorry, this is the best picture I have, but it's a nice action kind of shot."

Jonathan Hale and I became friends over the summer after we had both graduated. It was basically in the basement of the Oakley Opera House during Bye Bye Birdie.
Although I haven't seen this kid in forever (!!!), we still keep each other updated on Facebook.
The conversation starts with him rearranging my name somehow and then I try to do a likewise reply. We then proceed to tell each other stories about college, dating, and life.

The other day we were discussing blogs. He complimented mine so I thought it necessary to dedicate a post to him. A few questions later and here is his interview:

1.What is your staple food/meal for college?
1. Uh spaghetti? made by myself? Outrageous!
2. If everybody had to wear the same color of clothing, what color should it be?
2. How about camo? That would make things seem less crowded
3. If humans had to change social ranks with another animal, which animal would you change with?
3. I think its about time we conceded our spot to the oyster
4.What is the best song to serenade a girl on the piano with?
4.Claire de Lune (it worked in twilight!)

5. What new Poptart flavor would you invent?
5. mmmm pop tarts that you can blow bubbles with
6. One goal you hope to have accomplished in 10 years.
6. Serenade a girl with Clair de Lune (it worked in twilight!)
7. How many times have you been to Disneyland?
7. half as much as i've never been.
8. Philosophy on life.
8. There are few problems in this world that cannot be solved by orange juice, pie, and new socks
9. Blonde or brunette?
9. I used to say blonde... until Tangled. brunette for sure
10. Name a favorite.
10. saturday morning cartoons and 7 bowls of cereal!..
Jealous because I have such awesome friends?
I thought so.

Since I'm surrounded by such amazing people, I'm going to continue to do these interviews. Leave me a comment below if you would like to be included.

Photo Challenge::Day 5

*A photo that makes you laugh*

No I'm not being rude and putting up pictures of funy looking people. Well, for the most part. See that guy peeking out in the back? His name is Jonah (sometimes I accidently called him Noah) and he was in the play Bye Bye Birdie with me. He was a little interesting to say the least. This picture is just one of the many memories associated with that play.

The Final Curtain Call

Last Saturday claimed the spotlight as the finale of Bye Bye Birdie. All I could say that is was a night of mixed emotions. Estatic to be done with the drive to Oakley, homesick for all the inside jokes, relieved to get out of granny clothes, heartbroken for Madison leaving, but all in all I am glad that I chose to drive all the miles for the play. Amazing talent, crazy memories, and incredible new friends made this an experience I will remember forever.

Dylan Barrett (thank goodness for him or else I would've gone crazy driving) Whitney Arnell (talented, beautiful, smart, and everything else) and Jonah (whew...umm...yeah he was fun...)

Brett Arnell (he's usually not quite as nerdy)

Me, Ethan Bench (crippled boy), and Madison Manning (I'm going to miss her like crazy)

Jake and Levi Mittons (Jake was my ginger buddy and Levi was the toehead) Loved these guys!!
I loved my Bye Bye Birdie experience and I hope to be able to do another community play sometime in my life.

How Do They Do It?

I just can't fathom how Broadway stars can perform every single night for months. And I was thinking the three nights of RRHS musicals were enough. However my eyes were opened and I was given a taste of what it would be like to perform all your life....yeah, I don't think I'm going to be persuing that career anytime soon.
With 7 performances done and 6 more to go, we are a little over halfway done with the Bye Bye Birdie performances. I mean I still love the play, but its all kind of tiring: 1. The drive to Oakley got tiring after week one, 2. The play itself is getting to be a bit tiresome, 3. I'm just plain tired nowadays. I guess its just preparing me for college life, right?
All in all, an amazing experience.

Read All About It!!

Bye Bye Birdie is opening this week!!! It has gone by ridiculously fast, but we are ready for it and definitely ready for the drive to Oakley to be over. You can read a hilarious article about it and be sure to watch the video. I'm in green if you ever happen to spot me. Heres the dates and I expect all of you to be there.

High C

So yesterday at Bye Bye Birdie practice (sorry you will probably hear a lot about it since that's about all I'm doing this summer) we were running through a song for the first time and at the end there is a high C for any brave soprano. And I'm not talking about the C above middle C, try the C above that. Anyways so I just go for it and miraculously don't make a fool of myself. Now, another girl and I, are singing high C, but that's not the best part. Later Dylan was kind enough to inform me that him and some other boys quite enjoyed our facial expressions while we vibrato-ed the crap out of our voices. It was mainly the other girl who takes opera classes or something diva-ish like that, but I was wondering, was it something like this?:
