Don't Worry, Be Pyscho
Last night was Christmas magic. Captain Yeff, the Mummsie, and Grandma Spencer decided to swing by the Iceburg and go to a Jon Schmidt concert with me. Liberty Nelson also came along. After the gluttony of Pizza Pie Cafe (formerly known as Craigos) we went to the Christmas-lit Rexburg Tabernacle where we heard the fantastic Jon Schmidt accompanied by his cellist, Steven Sharp Nelson.
Their most famous arrangement can be found above. Not only was the music sensational, but they kept the audience entertained the whole time. Mash-ups are kind of their new thing hence the title of this post (a mash-up of Don't Worry, Be Happy and Phantom of the Opera).
Libby and I also got a kick sitting behind the tech guy. From drinking his Dr. Pepper to reacting to messages on his cell phone, it called for some entertainment. Of course, he was at his worst during the quietest song, but nonetheless it created some fond memories.
I guess the whole point of this post, if not to rub it in, is the encouragement to go to a Jon Schmidt concert if you ever have a chance. Trust me.
P.S. Speaking of great male artists, Josh Groban's newest album is a-mazing and a-wesome and a-okay.
